Blog 6: POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
Today's post is related to postgraduate courses that I would like to take in the future, in some moments of reflection this possibility has assaulted my mind. I have a considerable interest marked by two areas in which I would like to deepen that I would cover by taking postgraduate courses of Sociology of the body or something related to this area.
The reasons I have for doing this are many, really many, on the one hand I am passionate about the study of the body as a socio-cultural construct and the concept of doing a doctorate ahahah. But beyond that, the main reason is that I feel that this area of study has declined and ignored the current state of dissenting bodies.
In studying this, my goal would be to simultaneously investigate and confirm some of my hypotheses regarding how the neoliberal model has impacted the perception and valuation of the body according to its level of productivity. And, at the same time, to develop social interventions that confront phenomena of oppression that violate the subjectivities of those who possess these dissident bodies, in such a way that it contributes to a world without gordophobia, without transphobia, without capacitism, among others.
The truth is that I would like to do all these courses abroad, to get to know other countries and at the same time, different ways of doing social work. In addition, the most valued academies in the academic world are located in other countries, such as Brazil, Spain or Canada, which by the way are also some of the countries in which I would like to study or make a student exchange eventually.
Regarding the way in which I would like to carry out these studies, I believe that what would suit me best, would be part-time presential courses, in such a way as to validate the studies with possible jobs and why not? visit beautiful places and get to know the culture of those foreign countries.
sounds interesting your idea of studying and taking advantage of knowing other places
